Story Telling and Film Workshop

The South El Monte Arts Posse, with funding from Eastside Arts Initiative, is excited to offer a free Story Telling and Film Workshop for Greater El Monte youth. Led by Anthony Solorzano, the workshop will introduce students to the film making process and culminate in a collective short film. No prior experience is necessary. Youth between the ages 10-18 are eligible. 

The workshop will meet Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30pm from October 12th to November 16 at C.A.S.A Zamora at Zamora Park in El Monte. Snacks will provided. 
 
Space is limited. Students who want to participate in the workshop are required to fill out an application. Acceptance is on a rolling basis. Guardian/parent approval and contact information is required. El Monte/South El Monte residents will be given priority. Click on link to apply.
About Anthony Solorzano. Solorzano is the producer and director of the feature length film Varsity Punks. He has made music videos for bands like The Red Pears and has worked closely with the local community for various projects. He grew up in El Monte and graduated from USC's School of Cinematic Arts.
