This excerpt from a two-hour group interview is an oral history of the Kizh-Gabrielino band of Mission Indians. In this clip, the interviewed group discuss how Toypurina banded together with Nicolás José to lead an "army of Indians" against the Spanish mission. They discuss how the mission uprising failed because of leaked information to the Spanish, and how Toypurina was captured.
