Abstract: Father and grandfather bought two acres in EM from “old man Dinas” in 1937, built house that Griffith still lives in. Grew up agricultural setting, playing in the river, drank goat’s milk until kindergarten. Mother was teacher in EM at Temple School and Valle Lindo School District, went to EMHS, remembers a mixed community, generally felt racism was not a problem but did notice differential treatment among students in his HS. Became a teacher, came back to his community, teaches history at SEM and coached wrestling for many years. Loves local history, enjoys sharing it with students.
